As Dennis Kimbro said, “Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it,” my life story coincides with Kimbro’s quote. I have never been dealt a group of hardships or unbelievable events like others have. My life has been easy in a sense, but what makes my story unique is how I react to what I have been given. I have had opportunities that maybe everyone has had such as going to school but I have reacted to this opportunity by choosing to try my best at it. I have chosen to apply myself to the best I can in everything I do. So, as I tell my story it won’t be filled with a whole bunch of emotional events but it’s my story and it has made me who I am.
My story began in a hospital delivery room on April 6th, (that was what I was told). It was a special day, for my parents, so to speak. They say I was a Murphy boy, cute (I swear, they said it!), fair, and with curly hair, and named after a boy in a Murphy Radio ad.
I’m very loyal to the people in my inner circle. Loyalty is probably my biggest virtue. I give it to the fullest and also expect the same from the people I give it to. I show utmost care and love to the people that matter to me. I will do anything in my power to keep them happy. I am also slow to anger (which is a bad trait to have, trust me) and can tolerate whatever is thrown at me for some time, at least.
I love music more than anything in this world. I listen to virtually every form of music. I love pop, rock, R&B, and country music. But my heart goes with oldie music. Music from the '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s, and 90’s as well. I take my music very seriously. Not everyone has access to it. But I am glad that recently, I found someone with whom I share my playlist. That human is fun, and I love sharing my music with that person. Fun fact, I used to flip iPods back when I was in school. That was my first encounter with real, hard moneyyy.
I have a keen interest in sports, philately, buying random things, poems, and books to name a few.
The question of who I am seems to be the simplest question one can answer. Yet, when I took the time to try and figure out who am I, I found this question requires critical thinking. In general, the answer to this question is that I am a regular person who loves spending quality time with the people I appreciate and respect. In addition, I dedicate myself to completing my duties, and I have a dream of becoming a simple man.
Stay healthy, stay safe, stay happy.
